how far can our arms stretch when we pivot to an angle? the close regard of an inward reward or the time stretched further of stars beyond words that the seed, within splits to its infinite canyons that its strength is within light like the petals shine on millions and the heart beats once, and forever, a ricochet that spills over: the sound of love like gulls, backlit by ocean sun and how far can our hearts stretch? when our spirit, it must perch and pivot the longing, and splendour of star fire, extinguished and brought back to us vital in the eyes of our love to see stars in the now deflectors of shadow braced within the carriage of funnels of mist, when we breathe it we do illuminate this seed, by that star and it causes us to congregate we know we’ve come that far and an arc can become a circle and the circle, soon a blaze like a sun or petals on a sunflower stretching inward like rays

about

Special Thanks To: Don Gunn, Jessica Drenkel, Chris Connelly, Tony Anderson, Igor Abuladze, Tony Geballe,

And to my husband and best friend, Phil, for his constant encouragement and loving support. During a year of great loss he knew when I needed to get out of the house to collect my thoughts and renew my spirit. He’d send me out to walk around the lake by our home to catch the last light of the day saying, “Go, walk to the sun.” I began this ritual when spring was just around the corner but winter was still very present. Each day I walked looking for a patch of sunlight - looking for signs of spring. Spring awakens dreams in my heart that I dare to believe.
This album is an invitation to the light and hope of Spring.

Dedicated to my dear friend Bill Rieflin.(1960-2020)
I’m forever grateful for his mentorship on this album and especially for his friendship. His light of inspiration carries on.

about

Jessica Gallo Seattle, Washington

The magic of the harp captured my heart as a child of 10 and I’ve been in love ever since. My studies in classical, jazz and celtic music has opened my imagination to create music particularly my own. My spirit is renewed by nature and I weave a basket of music to carry healing beauty - I hope you see the light of the stars, feel the breath of the ocean and hear the early chimes of Spring. ... more
